Valentine's Day Branch
Find an interesting branch outside, bring it home, place it in a container
and decorate it for Valentine's Day.
You could paint it red, pink, silver, gold, etc. or just leave it natural
(if you leave it natural, apply glue instead to make the stuff stick.
While the paint or glue is still dry, add glitter.
Cut out different colors of hearts from construction paper, punch holes in
them and thread with thin ribbon or different colors of thread and hang from
the branches (you could also stick on different Valentine's Day type stickers
on the little hearts).
Use thread to tie other stuff to the branches, such as red lifesavers,
Hershey's Kisses (tie a thread around the little thing that sticks up from the
top of the Kiss.
Use your imagination, you'd be suprized how easy it is to come up with
ideas.

Valentine Day Gift Boxes
Take a shoe box and wrap in red construction paper. Take off the lid and
wrap that separately.
Decorate the shoebox any way you'd like. You could cut out different colors
of hearts (except red), also stick on Valentine's Day stickers, cut cartoon
funnies out of newspapers and stick them on with scotch tape, use glue in
little areas of the shoebox and sprinkle on glitter, glue on Valentine's Day
Conversation Hearts and cinnamon red hots, cut out a bigger heart and write on
a little valentines day poem.
Fill the box with valentine's day treats such as assorted candies and
miniature candy bars, small artificial roses, love notes, cassette tape of
favorite music, etc. Use your imagination.
This Valentine's Day gift box could also be used as a mailbox by slitting a
hole in the top of the lid so that valentine's day cards can be inserted.

Valentine's Day Picture Card
Take red construction paper and draw a large heart shape on it (don't fold
the paper, try to draw the heart free hand).
Cut out the heart
Take a favorite photograph and glue the picture to a small lace doily and
then glue the doily to the red heart. Sprinkle the heart with glitter.
Write a funny or romantic valentine poem underneath the photograph.

Valentine's Day Necklace
Make up a batch of clay dough by mixing the following ingredients together
in a bowl::
3 cups Flour
1 cup Salt
1/2 cup Oil
Red food coloring*
* You could also divide the dough into 3 or 4 portions and add different
colors of food coloring to each portion.
Bake at 225 degrees F. for about 2 hours, turning the dough at intervals during
baking. Turn a few times more after they come out of the oven.
Cut the dough into shapes using small heart-shaped cookie cutters (or any
shapes you'd like). Poke small holes in the dough and string through with
thread or thin lace to make a Valentine's Day Necklace.

Edible
Valentines Day Cards
Take graham crackers and frost them using your favorite recipe.
Stick on Valentine's Day Candy Conversation Hearts to tell your valentine
how you feel about them. Outline your message with cinnamon red hots.
Take this one step farther by using frosting to "glue" together
more than one graham cracker so you can add hershey's kisses, miniature
chocolate bars, etc. to your valentines day card.
You can also use graham crackers to make a Valentine's Day gingerbread
house.

Valentine's Day

the pudding into different batches and add different colors of food coloring).
