Use a fancy
tableclothes: white and lacy or red and white patterns. Use your imagination.
Use cloth napkins complete with napkin rings.
Use a flower arrangement for the centerpiece. Stay away
from flowers that have a strong scent and keep the flower arrangement low so it
won't obscure your view of each other.
Use unscented candles. Just make sure they are the tall
kind, shorter candles will throw off an unflattering light (you want the light
to come from above).
Have music playing low so it won't interfere with your
conversation. To ensure the perfect musical accompanyment to your meal, take
the time to create a tape of your favorite mood-setting songs.
If you're listening to a radio station, phone in an
dedicate a song to your love; make sure she'll hear it though.
Turn off the ringer on your phone. If you have an
answering machine be sure to turn the volume way down so it can't be heard
(you'll have lots of time later to check out those calls).
