Alcoholic and Non-Alcohol Recipes for Valentine's Day Drinks

Drinks containing Alcohol:

Aphrodite's Love Potion
 
      4    Ice cubes
  1 1/2 oz Fine Brandy
      5 oz Pineapple juice
      1    Maraschino cherry
      1    Thin orange slice
 
Combine the ice cubes, Brandy, and pineapple juice and stir. Garnish with cherry and orange slice.

Kahlua Smoothie
 
      1 pt Vanilla ice cream
    1/3 c  Creme de cacao
    1/3 c  Kahlua
 
Combine ingredients in blender and process until smooth. Serve after dinner.

Hair Raiser
 
           1/3 part Anisette
           1/3 part Brandy
           1/3 part Triple Sec
 
Shake well. Serve in shot glass

Between the Sheets
 
      1 oz Cointreau
      1 oz Brandy
      1 oz Light rum
      1 ds Lemon juice
      4    Ice cubes
 
Combine the Cointreau, Brandy, light Rum, lemon juice, ice cubes in shaker and shake vigouously. Strain drink into glass.

Myers Rum Cream
 
      8 oz Myers Rum
     14 oz Sweetened condensed milk
      1    Egg
      1 tb Vanilla
 
Mix all ingredients in a blender and blend for several minutes on medium. Refrigerate overnight (important).

Brandy Alexander
 
Combine equal parts of brandy, dark creme de cacao, and cream in shaker with ice.

Strain into champagne glass or mug. Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg.
 
For Gin Alexander, sustitute gin for brandy and white creme de cacao for dark.

In the Sack
 
      3 oz Cream Sherry
      2 oz Apricot Nectar
      3 oz Orange Juice
    1/2 oz Lemon juice
          Ice cubes
    1/2    Slice orange
 
Shake together the sherry, apricot nectar, orange and lemon juices.

Strain into a 14 oz glass; add ice and garnish with orange slice.

Apple Knockers
 
      3    Cinnamon sticks
      2 ts Whole cloves
    1/2 ts Ground nutmeg
    1/2 ga Apple cider
      1 c  Sugar
      2 c  Orange juice
    1/2 c  Lemon juice
      1 c  Brandy  
  Tie cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg in cheesecloth.

Simmer cider and sugar with spices for about 15 minutes.

Remove bag of seasonings. Add orange juice, lemon juice and brandy. Heat to bubbling and serve.

Jamaica Me Crazy
 
           Ice
    1/2 oz Amber rum
    1/2 oz Tia maria
           Pineapple juice
 
Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in rum and tia maria. Add pineapple juice.

Lady Godiva
 
      1    Glass brandy
      1 ts Sugar
      2 ds Triple Sec
    1/4    Lemon (juice only)
    1/2    Lime  (juice only)
 
Shake well.

Non-Alcoholic:

Fuzzy Navel
 
      1 c  Milk
      1 c  Orange juice
    1/2 c  Sliced peaches
      2 ea Scoops vanilla ice cream

Combine the milk, orange juice, peaches, and ice cream in blender until smooth and creamy. Serves 2.

White Russian
 
      2 c  Milk
      3 tb Maple syrup
      1 ea Scoop vanilla ice cream
 
Combine all ingredients in blender until frothy. Serves 2.

Cappucino
 
      1 c  Instant hot cocoa mix
      1 c  Coffeemate
    3/4 c  Instant coffee
    1/4 c  Sugar
    1/2 ts Cinnamon
    1/4 ts Nutmeg
 
Combine above ingredients.

Add 2 tsp. mix to cup of steaming water. Stir and enjoy!

Apricot Fizz
 
      3 c  Apricot juice
      3 c  Gingerale
      1 tb Lemon juice
 
Chill apricot juice and gingerale throughly.

To serve, combine apricot juice, gingerale, and lemon juice; stir well, and pour into individual glasses.

Chocolate Peanut Shake

      3 tb Chocolate syrup
      1 tb Peanut butter
           Milk
      1 lg Scoop vanilla ice cream
 
Put syrup and peanut butter into a shaker. Fill with cold milk; shake vigorously. Top with scoop of ice cream. Or, blend everything in a belnder.

Orange Sunrise
 
      2    Eggs
    1/4 c  Frozen Orange Juice
           -Concentrate
      2 tb Honey
      2 c  Cold Milk
      8 oz Orange flavoured yogurt
 
Combine the eggs, orange juice and honey in the blender. Blend until smooth (about 1 minute).
Add the milk and yougurt.
 
Blend until smooth and frothy. Serve at once in tall, chilled glass.

Champagne Fizz

Place the juice of 1 Orange in a highball glass with several ice cubes. Fill with iced Champagne.
