Slime Dessert

  • Cherry flavored gelatin
  • Lime flavored gelatin
  • Cool whip Lite
  • M&Ms plain chocolate candy

Make equal quantities of cherry and lime gelatin.

When set, mash each color up separately. Place alternate layers of slimy gelatin into a large glass bowl.

Top with "eyeballs" of whipped cream blobs with M&M centers.

Creepy Crawly Gelatin

  • 1 1/2 c Boiling water
  • 1 lg Pkg orange-flavor gelatin
  • 1 1/2 c Cold water
  • Gummy worms candy

Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Pour into pie plate that has been sprayed with no-stick cooking spray.

Refrigerate about 1-1/2 hours or until thickened (spoon drawn through leaves definite impression). Push gummy worms into gelatin. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm. Unmold.

Helpful Hints:
Place pie plate on tray before pouring in gelatin to prevent spilling. Also, when unmolding, dip the pie plate in warm water for about 15 seconds. Gently pull gelatin from around edges with moist fingers. Place moistened serving plate on top of pie plate. Invert pie plate; holding pie plate and plate together, shake slightly to loosen. Gently remove pie plate and center gelatin on plate.

Dirt Cups

  • 2 c Cold milk
  • 1 pk JELL-O chocolate pudding
  • 1 pk COOL-WHIP topping,thawed
  • 1 pk Chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 10 7 ounce plastic cups

Suggested Decorations:

  • Gummy worms
  • Gummy frogs
  • Candy flowers
  • Chopped peanuts

POUR milk into large bowl. Add pudding mix. Beat with whisk until well blended, 1-2 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.

STIR in whipped topping and half of crushed cookies.

PLACE 1 tablespoon crushed cookies into cups. Fill cups 3/4 full with pudding mixture. Top with remaining crushed cookies. Refrigerate 1 hour. Decorate.

C-0-0-L Critters

  • 12 oz Cool Whip -- thawed
  • 2 c Half and half or milk
  • 1 pk 4-serving size Vanilla or Chocolate Instant Pudding Pie Filling

Ingredients*

  • 2/3 cup crushed chocolate-covered English toffee bars
  • 1 cup pureed fruit (strawberries, peaches or raspberries)
  • 3/4 cup Baker's semi-sweet real chocolate chips.

*Stir in all or only 1 of the following ingredients.
Spoon whipped topping into large bowl; refrigerate. Rinse and dry tub. Pour half-and-half into large bowl. Add pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes. Gently stir in 3-1/2 cups of the whipped topping and Stir in ingredients. Spoon pudding mixture into tub; cover with plastic wrap.

Freeze 6 hours or overnight. To unmold, run small spatula or knife around edge of tub. Place serving plate on top of tub. Invert; shake gently to loosen. Carefully remove tub.

Frost top and sides of frozen pudding mixture with remaining whipped topping. Decorate with assorted cookies and candies to resemble desired critter. Serve immediately. Cut into slices to serve.

Any one of these playful critters is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face. Let your imagination go wild.

Cat:
Use chocolate sandwich cookies for ears; black licorice for whiskers; gumdrops for nose and paws; jelly beans for eyes; round candies for tops of paws.

Pig:
Tint remaining whipped topping pink with red food coloring; use to frost unmolded frozen pudding mixture. Use marshmallows and red cinnamon candies for nose; flatten gumdrops for ears; string licorice for mouth; multicolored coated candies or gumdrops for eyes.

Turtle:
Tint remaining whipped topping green with green food coloring. Use chocolate-covered candy bar pieces for head and legs; miniature nonpariel candies for eyes; grated Bakers semi-sweet chocolate for shell.

Bunny:
Use oval vanilla sandwich cookies for ears; Funmallows Marshmallows for tail; licorice bites for teeth; string licorice for whiskers; multicolored coated candies for eyes.

Jello Aquarium Recipe

  • 1 pk Jello Berry BLUE jelly powder
  • 1 c Boiling water
  • 2 c Ice cubes
  • gummy fish

Dissolve jelly powder in boiling water. Add ice cubes, stirring until jelly thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Remove any unmelted ice.

Spoon jelly into to clear-sided bowls.

Poke 3 or 4 gummy fish into each dish of SLIGHTLY thickened jelly.

Refrigerate 30 minute to set. Serve within 1 1/2 hours.

Jello Skating Pond Recipe

  • 1 pk Jello Berry BLUE jelly powder
  • 1 c Boiling water
  • 2 c Ice cubes
  • cool whip (snow)
  • gummy bears
  • wafer roll
  • spearmint trees (jellies)

Dissolve jello powder with boiling water. Stir in ice cubes. Continue stirring for 3-5 minutes and then remove any leftover ice cubes. Pour into clear pie plate. Chill until set.

Just before serving, decorate with cool whip (snow) around 2/3 of the edge. Decorate with gummy bears skating, and a wafer roll cookie as a log.

Ghosts in the Graveyard

  • 3 1/2 c Milk
  • 1 pk Oreo cookies(chocolate fill)
  • 2 pk Chocolate INSTANT pudding
  • 4 oz Rectangular white cookies
  • Cool whip or whipped cream
  • 1 ea Cool Whip 12 oz thawed
  • Candied corn

Crush cookies in zip style bag, with rolling pin, or in food proccessor.

Make pudding as directed, using 3 1/2 c milk, let stand 5 minutes. Stir in 3 cups cool whip, and 1/2 the cookies. Spoon into a 13 by 9 dish. Sprinkle with remaining cookies Refrigerate 1 hour.

Decorate using rectangular cookies as tombstones, etc.. Use coolwhip or whipping cream to create swirls of *ghosts* on top, put chocolate sprinkles for eyes.. etc. be creative!

Critters in the Hay

  • 1 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1 c Light corn syrup
  • 2 tb Butter
  • 1 1/2 ts Pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Green food color(optional)
  • 3 1/2 qt Popped popcorn; remove any unpopped kernels
  • 1 c Candy corn
  • Licorice ropes; black
  • Wooden picks
  • Small black gum drops or other small black candies
  • Red decorating icing
  • Tiny red jaw-breakers candy
  • Wormshape candies

In Dutch oven, bring sugar,corn syrup and butter to a boil; boil 2 1/2 minutes. Stir in pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, salt and food coloring (if desired); mix until evenly colored.

Add popcorn and toss until evenly coated.

Spread popcorn mixture in a single layer on greased sheets of foil and allow to cool and harden. Break into bite-size pieces and mix with candy corn in a wide shallow bowl; set aside.

To make spiders, cut licorice into 2 inch lengths. To make legs, starting at one end, make three 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch cuts to make four legs. Repeat cuts at opposite end. Leave about 1/2 inch in center uncut. Gently pull legs apart and curl down.

Push wooden pick through center of body, leaving about 1/4 inch exposed on top. Push one gumdrop onto exposed pick to make a body. Using writing tip of decorating icing, squeeze two small dots of icing into gumdrops. Press jaw-breakers into icing to make eyes.

Place"spiders" and worm-shaped candies in popcorn. Remove wooden picks before eating. Makes 4 quarts.

Eyeball Potion

  • 8 oz Frozen whipped topping; thawed
  • Blueberries or raisins
  • 1 1/2 c Boiling water
  • 1 lg Pkg gelatin - any red flavor
  • 1 c Cold water
  • Ice cubes

Using a small ice-cream scoop, place 2 scoops whipped topping into each of 10 dessert dishes for "eyeballs." Place a blueberry or raisin in each scoop for the "pupil." Freeze 30 minutes, or until firm.

Meanwhile, stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least two minutes until completely dissolved. Mix cold water and ice cubes to make 2 1/2 cups. Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened. Remove any remaining ice.

Pour about 1/2 cup gelatin around the two "eyeballs" in each dish, leaving the top of the "eyeballs" exposed. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours, or until firm.
