Traditional Cranberry Sauce for Christmas Dinner
4 c cranberries
2 c sugar
1 c water
Cook sugar and water over low heat until the sugar is thoroughly dissolved;
add the cranberries. Cover pan and cook about 10 minutes.
Pour into bowl and let cool thoroughly before serving.

Spiked Christmas Cranberry Sauce
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 c Red wine
12 oz Cranberries; rinsed and drained.
1 lg Cinnamon stick
Zest of 1 orange;
sliced thin
In a medium size saucepan, bring the sugar and wine to a boil and cook for
1 minute. Add the cranberries, cinnamon stick and the orange zest and bring
back to a boil.
Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes or until the cranberries burst and the sauce
thickens slightly.
Remove the cinnamon stick. Remove the cranberry sauce from the heat, place
in a bowl and allow to cool thoroughy. Refrigerate, covered until ready to
serve with your Christmas turkey.
